The focus of winter training is to improve technique and fitness through a variety of fun activities whilst encouraging teamwork and good sportsmanship in our Club athletes.

Years 1, 2 & 3

9.00-10.00 am

Years 4, 5 & 6

Cost: £2 per session

Starts: Saturday 17th September 2024 for Autumn and Spring Term.

It would help us if you could arrive a few minutes early for signing on so that we can start and finish on time.

Please ensure that there is a coach present before leaving your child at the training session and that you collect your child on time at the end of a session. If your child is allowed to walk home unaccompanied please inform a coach before the session.

Your child needs to wear sensible trainers with good grip and sports clothing each week and bring a drink of water or juice (sports drinks are not recommended for u16’s). If your child has been unwell, injured or there is anything else we should be aware of please let us know at the beginning of the session.

Please explain our Code of Conduct to your children, it is extremely important that this is followed at all times to ensure a safe & fun environment for all.

All athletes will have the opportunity to take part in our pentathlon challenge in December where 5 events are completed in one session to gain points. Each athlete will get a certificate to say what level they have achieved.

Our 7 to 11 year olds will be working towards the Jude’s Sportshall competition between the different Island based clubs. This is a fantastic event for athletes and spectators alike and really shows the hard work our youngsters put in over the winter months.
