The mile takes place within the Newfield sponsored Isle of Man Track and Field League and starts around 7.30 pm.

There will be a registration desk at the track next to the start/finish line from 6 pm with entries closing at 7 pm at the latest.

 

It costs £3 to enter and athletes have to estimate their time for running one mile as the event is run on a handicap basis with the slower runners off first and the faster runners off later.

 

There will be a briefing for all runners at approx 7.10 pm.

 

Runners have to be in the under 17 age group and older to be able to compete in this event. All funds raised go towards helping young athletes make their way in the sport whilst it also commemorates a fine runner and character from Manx Athletics - Steve (Shaky) Jacobs.
